SOUND LENS with suzueri
8 participants – Price : 15.-
Sound Lens is a tiny experimental kit of optical communication using a solar panel and a LED inspired by the work of Japanese new-media artist Toshio Iwai and an old gadget of Nintendo, 'Ray Gun'. It converts light modulations into sounds. You can listen to the sounds coming from the lights. Come and build a model of optical communication and transform lights into sounds thanks to a simple kit which can be assembled without soldering or glueing. You can bring the device you made up home. This workshop is guided by suzueri, a Tokyo based sound artist and improviser. She is also an instrument and device maker, and the founder of the collective of the edible electronics circuit makers 'BreadBoard Baking'.
