PORTRAIT (1976) DE ROBERT BARRY
Exhibition
In collaboration with Circuit
Two white speakers broadcast a dialogue between a man and a woman. One of the loudspeakers broadcasts the man's voice. The other speaker broadcasts the woman's voice. Robert Barry's installation, recreated for LUFF and the exhibition Robert Barry: Une situation, transforms a physical barrier into a zone where imaginary and fragmented thoughts intertwine: it will be acoustically impossible to hear the entire dialogue simultaneously, as one of the loudspeakers is placed on the Montbenon esplanade, in front of the Casino, and the other in the contemporary art centre Circuit.
