Alex Phillips’ first feature film, All Jacked Up and Full of Worms unfolds like a long, filthy, hallucinatory nightmare. Two hapless buddies experiment with hallucinogenic earthworms whose absorption through every orifice will provoke the worst misbehaviour. Shot in the middle of a pandemic on a shoestring budget, this twisted comedy horror presents a drug experience on screen that is as absurd as it is sticky, but that still highlights a certain idea of friendship and solidarity, even in the worst extremes.
